Comments: The home has 4 bedrooms 3 on main level and 1 in the basement. It has a basement with laundry, storage area. There is a deck off the back of the house. The wheelchair accessible home is located 8 blocks from downtown Windom in a quiet neighborhood , but a busy street in front of the house. Staff have specialized training in doing passive and active range of motion movements, and several life sustaining devices.
All like to shop and go out to eat. One individual is blind, another individual living in the home like seeing movies at the theater, or likes watching movies at home, polka music and going to dances . One individual does have a bird feeder. All of the individuals living in the home do currently work at the local day achievement center.

There are six bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, 2 baths, and a laundry room. The apartment is on the second floor and accessible by an elevator and a stairway. HCL is within walking distance from downtown Windom. There are two vans wheelchair accessible. HCL has been in existence for 30 years. Staff are trained in medication administration, nebulizer treatments, suctioning, postural drainage, O2 administration, diabetes management, and carbohydrate counting.
The individuals living at this site range in age from 22-54 years of age. They often plan social activities including movies, going out to eat, swimming, concerts, shopping, vacation day/s etc. The ladies at this home are members of a Round Robin social group that meets monthly at different homes. Some of the gentleman are in a Men’s card club group that also meets monthly at a different home each month. Several of the individuals participate in the Special Olympics Spring Track and Field events and also the fall Special Olympics bowling.

The individuals enjoy playing games, sitting outside on their deck, going for walks in the community, participating in community events, going to movies and having picnics with friends.
